The [Possible] Overdose of George Floyd(it’s on video)
How the death of George Floyd was made a sacrifice to the political machine

This needs to go viral. It’s free. I implore that you watch it. It needs to be shared. It needs to be addressed very thoroughly. The disgraceful manipulation by some politicians, activists, the “justice” system, and journalists of the *overdose* of George Floyd for political gain is ghastly. It led to destruction in a city, the destruction of innocent lives, and a wide spread rise of racial hostilities.
George Floyd “couldn’t breathe” before he was on the ground with a knee, not on his neck, but on his shoulder. And he had a knee on his shoulder[okay maybe his upper back between his shoulders?] because he was egregiously resisting arrest[well; until he wasn’t; see edit at the bottom]. It’s all on video. You can watch it yourself if you go to the documentary I linked to. It is on body cam video that wasn’t shared to the public at the time of the event and wasn’t presented to the jury when it convicted people of federal crimes under the backdrop of mob violence and and a media environment that had convicted the police officers involved before there was a even a trial—a trial that turned out to be corrupt.
He had outrageous levels of fentanyl, meth, and morphine in his body, and had covid, and heart disease. He swallowed pills, again, on video, when he was being arrested by a *black* cop.
Every American needs to watch this. If they don’t already distrust the corporate media and “anti-racist” war-mongering politicians this should do that. If it doesn’t, unless there is some incredible debunking of this movie (I’m not going to hold my breath), there is little hope for America.
Riots and destruction and death could have been prevented if body cam footage had simply been released immediately following the event. Is the only point of body cam footage so that it can be used to incriminate cops when it is useful, rather than to know the truth? If we are going to implement body cam laws, we actually need to watch and release the videos even when it doesn’t satisfy the political narratives of some politicians and activists.
“I cant breath”. It was because he overdosed. It’s on video. The crime committed was not against George Floyd, it was against the police officers, against the city, and against America.
All the officers deserve a new trial. Really, they shouldn’t even have been put on trial in the first place. It’s disgraceful.
Edit: (a few hours later) After immediately going to the internet to further investigate it, I have come to the conclusion that while there is reasonable doubt about whether Chauvin or any of the other officers actions led to his death, its still possible that what I’d consider gross excessive force, after he was on the ground already for minutes —and was even unresponsive eventually — may have contributed to his death. In other words, its possible his death wasn’t from an overdose. Furthermore, the fact that Chauvin didn’t remove his knee after no pulse was detected, and the other officers didn’t insist he remove it demonstrates at the least exceptional neglect or incompetence. Chauvin’s action particularly, due to that fact alone, regardless of whether he actually caused the death, is repellent enough that even if he should not have been charged with murder, he should have been charged with something, and 21 years(what he got for murder) doesn’t seem necessarily excessive for it to me.
So apologies — I admit I was too hasty with my original judgement about the cause of death after watching the film. It was well produced. And it has been a few years since I had processed the evidence and I think the alleged FBI manipulation triggered me. And while I still view the political opportunism around the event grotesque, and destruction that followed potentially preventable, the guilt of the officers is much more ambivalent for me. It would be valuable if another documentary similar to this one, but from the prosecution’s perspective, were created. There also appears to be a recording of the the whole trial somewhere on CSPAN, although its not organized very well. And while right now I think the officers deserve a new trial, the Supreme Court just decided today, they don’t. Maybe I won’t if I ever get around to watching CSPAN or that counterweight documentary is ever made.
But whats with my mind changing about some of my opinions in a matter of a few hours? Well… thats what new evidence does to me. Next time I watch a slick documentary, I’ll let it simmer longer. Totally a MySpace impulse post. With that said, I still recommend watching it, even if it isn’t particularly balanced. Just remember there are many sides and the FBI will probably be involved regardless!
I still think there needs to be a new trial, held somewhere outside the city because of emotions. How much emotion went into the trial over evidence?
